In response to the devastating damage caused by Hurricanes Milton and Helene, Urban Science recently launched a corporate gift-matching program to support ongoing relief efforts and give Urban Scientists an opportunity to provide crucial aid to those impacted by the storms.

Through this initiative, our company pledged to match employees’ Milton/Helene relief donations with a corporate gift to the American Red Cross. The campaign, backed by our company’s community relief fund, reaffirmed our collective commitment to providing assistance during times of humanitarian crisis.

$6,000 raised across office locations
Thanks to the generosity of Urban Scientists around the world, the campaign raised a total of $6,000. This includes $3,000 in employee donations to various organizations and the company’s $3,000 matching contribution, which will aid American Red Cross’ hurricane relief and recovery efforts, including providing shelter, food and supplies to those in need.

Donations made prior to the campaign launch were also eligible for retroactive matching, ensuring those who had already contributed to related hurricane relief efforts were included. Collective support of the campaign reflected our company’s commitment to embodying our community pillar and #InventTheFuture and #DoGreatThings values.

A history of stepping up for global disaster relief
This hurricane relief campaign is just one example of our company’s ongoing efforts to support disaster relief worldwide. In the past, we’ve launched similar gift-matching programs in response to other major crises, including the Syria-Turkey earthquakes, humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and several others. In each case, we supported nonprofits that provide critical aid to those who need it most.

Making an impact 
The funds raised directly support those affected by the hurricanes, aiding both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts. From providing food and water to rebuilding areas devastated by the storms, every dollar raised will make a difference.
