Urban Scientists who serve our clients from our Frankfurt office location recently participated in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge run. The team proudly donned their Urban Science running shirts as they tackled the 3.5-mile (5.6-kilometer) course through the bustling streets of downtown Frankfurt.

This event connected over 50,000 participants representing 2,060 companies of all sizes, from start-ups to large corporations. The large crowd made a significant difference in the community as the JPMorgan Chase Foundation donated fees and proceeds in honor of all participants to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which uses sport as a tool for social change, and the German Disabled Sports Association (Deutsche Behindertensportjugend), the umbrella organization for all people with disabilities who play sports in Germany.

Following the race, the group gathered for a sundowner (a drink consumed at sunset) at the office while relishing their accomplishments and highlights of the day.

“The combination of great colleagues, a pleasant atmosphere and perfect weather, and the collective feeling we had when we contributed to a worthy cause, made the day truly memorable,” said Lutz Kalcker, regional PMO manager and coordinator of the charity run at Urban Science. “By coming together to participate in this initiative, our Frankfurt team not only showcased our commitment to personal wellbeing but made a positive impact on the wellbeing of the youth in our communities as well.”

Urban Science empowers and encourages its team members across the globe to participate in volunteer and philanthropic activities throughout the year. Each person is given 12 hours of paid volunteer time to support causes in their local community. Click here to read more about our far-reaching community efforts.
